Privacy notice

Plain language, because that's the law and also just decent. The data controller is MyGirlfriendIsPrettier (“we”). For any privacy request, email support@mygirlfriendisprettier.com or use the contact page; removals are fastest through the removal page.

If someone paid to put your name on the board

The payer gave us your first name, a country, and a caption. No photo — we never accept a photo of you from anyone but you. We process this minimal data on the basis of legitimate interest, and this notice (linked from your claim page) is how we inform you. You can remove the entry at any time — instantly, from your claim link or the removal page — and removal is final.

If you claim your crown

Your photo goes public only after you verify your email, read the consent screen, and agree — that consent is our lawful basis. We record when you consented, the verified email, your IP, and which version of the consent text you saw. You can withdraw consent at any time (remove the photo or the whole entry from your manage link); withdrawal is immediate and the photo file is permanently deleted from storage.

What we keep, and for how long

Live entries: name, caption, country, photo, totals, view counts. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see card numbers. Removed entries: the photo is purged immediately; we retain the consent/audit record and payment records as evidence of lawful operation. OTP codes expire within 10 minutes and are stored only as hashes.

Your rights

Access, correction, erasure, objection — all of it, honored fast, and erasure requests from the person pictured are honored without argument. Use your manage link or the removal page. If you're in the UK/EU you can also complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO) — though we'd rather fix it first.

What we don't do

No selling data, no ad tracking, no using photos anywhere except the entry they were uploaded to, no contacting you except for codes and confirmations you asked for.
